In honor of and in celebration of Fela Kuti, a Nigerian singer and human rights activist credited with creating the afrobeat musical genre, Felabration is an annual music festival that first debuted in 1998.

The week before Fela Kuti's birthday is when Felabration takes place. Top Nigerian musical performers will perform at the event, while renowned musicians and celebrities from around the world will make special guest appearances.
